One27 SMT connector now offered with lagging contacts

Hot Swapping and Industrial Automation

Connector One27 with lagging contacts
The new One27 version features lagging contacts to permit reliable system swapping during operation and with applied electric voltage in industrial applications.
The One27 with a 1.27-mm pitch is now also available with lagging contacts. Developers will be able to get the angled 12- to 80-pin male connectors starting March 2020. This makes it possible to simply change modules in industrial applications during live operation.

The electronics are reliably protected during this process, as a defined sequence of signal, ground, and electrical contacts is adhered to during insertion and disconnection. This ensures that the ground connection is established in the first step in order to conduct ground potential differences and electrostatic charges before the data line is connected.
This makes changes during live operation quick and simple – modules that contain the One27 can be disassembled and replaced without having to switch off the device.
The double-row SMT connector One27 with an angled male connector can be assembled individually and its lagging contacts can be placed in any position. The range of connectors offers a wide variety of types and plug versions with a small pitch and maximum robustness. The board-to-board distance can range between 8.00 and 13.8 mm. The male and female connectors can be inserted anywhere within a range of 1.5 mm, thanks to the absolutely secure mating of the One27 connectors. The connection produced by One27 connectors is established by means of a double-sided female contact that envelops the contact pin of the male connector.
